NOG Research Day 2013The Netherlands Research School of Gender Studies (NOG) would like to invite you for the annual National Research Day dedicated to the cutting edge work of junior researchers of Dutch universities in the field of Gender, Ethnicity, Sexuality and Diversity. This year the National Research Day is called ‘Doing Gender in the Netherlands: Feminism in Transition (Activism, Institutions and Canons)’ and will be hosted by our colleagues of the Amsterdam Research Center for Gender and Sexuality at the University of Amsterdam on Monday May 26, 2014 (new date!).

Format of the day:
The day will be opened by NOG director Professor Rosemarie Buikema and ARC-GS director Dr. Rachel Spronk. The major part of the day will be dedicated to paper presentations. The closing remarks will be made by Dr. Liza Mügge (staff member ARC-GS).
Depending on the PhD paper proposals thematic sessions will be formed, either plenary or paralleled depending on the number of accepted papers.
Paper participants prepare a presentation of 10 minutes to allow for plenary discussion and questions. Full papers will be distributed in advance among the panel participants. Prepared feedback on the papers will be given by a senior NOG staff member. It is possible to add suggestions for preferred referees.

The language of the day is English.

Please let us know if you want to attend the National Research Day Doing Gender in the Netherlands as a listener before Thursday May 1, 2014. To organize this National Research Day we ask for a contribution of €15,- from every participant (listener or presenter) for tea, coffee, lunch and drinks, to be paid at the registration desk on the day.
